# Discarding Food and Medicines

* കേടുകൂടാത്ത എല്ലാ ടിന്നിൽ അടച്ച വസ്തുക്കളും നന്നായി കഴുകിയ ശേഷം മാത്രം ഉപയോഗിക്കുക.
* പ്രളയ ജലത്തിൽ വീണുകിടന്ന എല്ലാ മരുന്നുകളും കോസ്മെറ്റിക്സ്കളും മറ്റു വസ്തുക്കളും ഉപേക്ഷിക്കുക.
* പ്രളയ ജലത്തിൽ വീണ താഴെ പറയുന്ന എല്ലാ ഭക്ഷണ വസ്‌തുക്കളും ഉപേക്ഷിക്കുക. -ഫ്രിഡ്ജിൽ സൂക്ഷിച്ചിരുന്ന മത്സ്യ മാംസാദികളും പച്ചക്കറികളും പഴവർഗങ്ങളും.  
  * എല്ലാ ടിന്നിൽ അടച്ച ഭക്ഷണ വസ്‌തുക്കളും(ബിസ്ക്കറ്റ്, ബ്രെഡ്, ചായ പലഹാരങ്ങൾ എന്നിവ)   
  * എല്ലാ ശീതലപാനിയങ്ങളും ജാറിൽ വരുന്ന ഉൽപന്നങ്ങളും.  
  * അഴുക്കുപിടിച്ചതും പൊട്ടിയതുമായ പാത്രങ്ങൾ
* All undamaged canned goods must be thoroughly washed and disinfected.
* Dispose of all medicines, cosmetics and other toiletries that have been **exposed to flood water**.
* Dispose of any of the following food items if they have been exposed to flood water:
  * Contents of freezer or refrigerator, including all meats and all fresh fruit and vegetables.
  * All boxed foods ( biscuits, bread, cake mix, tea-time snacks etc).
  * All bottled drinks and products in jars, including home preserves (since the area under the seal of jars and bottles cannot be properly disinfected).
  * Cans with large dents or that reveal seepage.
